Chim- Chim Cher-ee (East Wind) by Colin Farrell lyrics:

"Winds in the east, there's a mist comin' in

Like somethin' is brewin' and 'bout to begin.

Can't put me finger on what lie in store

But I feel what's to happen all happened before.

A father, a mother, a daughter a son-

The thread of their lives unraveling undone -

Somethin' is needed to twist 'em as tight,

Like string you might use

when you're flyin a kite"

When I read this recently it reminded me of my attempts at building my family tree.....lots of loose threads that seem to dangle waiting for the right search to twist them tightly together. My greatgreatgrandmother existed. She was a real person and must have an amazing story. There are so many loose threads. There is the DNA thread......and unless Diahan Southard herself decides to come to my house and sit beside me at my computer...that thread will hang free. So many search engines but to find her I really do need specific information. Her maiden name is unknown. It also seems that she was miraculously born in two different states! More loose threads dangling helplessly in the breeze. Her father was born in France and did not come to United States until 20 after she was born. The woman he was married to was also in France at the time of my greatgreatgandmother's birth....a dead give away that she could not have been the mother!!

So, you see the strings of my kite are definitely not secure..

Up up and away.
