RESIDENCE DETAILS on Residence Events in Family Search

The following tip is for use on the Family Search website.

In Family Search, when you attach a census record to a person, a residence event record is also created. I’ve started adding notes to the “Description of Residence” in these residence event records that allow me to “visualize” who was all living together based on this census record. I also attach the census to every person listed and then update the residence event record’s  “Description of Residence.” (Aside: doing this allows me to verify that all children on the census are in the tree & vice versa.)

If you'd like to start updating these event records as well, please download the PDF that contains step-by-step instructions with pictures/examples.
